One of the largest pockets ever seen in all my years of mining this location.
The pocket as you see it is just as it was found, completly open. John Holfert is completly inside the pocket. What! You don't believe me? Look closer.
John is working the pocket from the inside, with plenty of working room. Why is John smiling? In less than an hour he has pulled out more than 200 great topaz specimens. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to excavate this great hole, so we buried it. Guess where we will start off next year???
Here, after all is said and done, is poor ED contemplating the true meaning of life itself. Which is...................... Mineral collecting of course!!!
